Vistaar's methodology
- We work closely with our clients and provide consulting services to help with the development of an optimal hospital wide demand and capacity model and the mapping and/or redesigning of processes related to patient flow.
- Vistaar provides consulting services that help clients manage the full life cycle of an ACOMS implementation project.
- Our consultants work with your department managers and advise them in the following aspects of demand and capacity management:
- Design the optimal demand and capacity model for their individual clinical and ancillary units (ED, cardiology, neurology, orthopedics, emergency, OR, ICU, laboratory, pharmacy, transportation, food service, etc.);
- Design criteria that best serve as indicators of workload and demand and capacity mismatches;
- Design status severity thresholds for each criterion, so that the appropriate interventions are triggered in response to demand and capacity mismatches;
- Design unambiguous (who, what, when and where) interventions that effectively establish collaboration, and develop accountability and empowerment by indicating appropriate actions to mitigate stress factors.
- Help build and deploy interfaces as a part of our systems integration services to eliminate manual updates
- Provide post-implementation analysis and support to assure success.
